The object of Find the Virus is, quite simply, to find the virus. The nasty little program is hiding in one of many computer systems, and with the help of your VirusHunter, you hunt down the bugger by picking brand names and models and examining the contents of the computer's memory. In order for your VirusHunter to work, you need to give it CPU cycles, and CPU cycles cost credits. You begin by purchasing CPU cycles to operate your VirusHunter, where each cycle costs 1 credit. The VirusHunter needs at least 100 cycles to start up. You then must choose the brand name you think the virus is hiding in. The choices are Commodore, IBM, Mac, and Apple. Your VirusHunter will search your choice, and if it detects the virus, you go to the next stage. You are given three chances to guess the brand name (those viruses don't hang around long).
